Fortuna Medical Grade Mattress (Bariatric)

The Fortuna has a toughened CMHR foam core which helps prevent bottoming out whilst offering highly effective levels of pressure redistribution. ​

The Caversham Fortuna Bariatric Mattress is a profile bed mattress which can be used in conjunction with a suitable bariatric bed frame. The Combustion Modified High Resilience (CMHR) foam has weight redistribution qualities  to help provide pressure reduction for users at a high risk of pressure sores and ulcers.  ​

The specialised, high quality foam of the mattress, helps the uniform distribution of the patient's weight providing comfort and safety.  The vapour permeable, multi-stretch fabric has an anti-fungal agent and reduces shear and friction forces. 

The high frequency welded cover helps to prevent fluid ingress and can be laundered at up to 80 degrees, ensuring excellent decontamination. ​

The 2-way stretch, waterproof, anti-bacterial, vapour permeable PU cover, improves patient comfort and maintains skin integrity by reducing shear and friction forces whilst aiding infection control. A toughened, non-slip PU base protects the mattress when used on an electric bariatric profiling bed frame.  ​

The mattress does not require turning and the cover is zipped around 3-sides to aid removal and mattress inspection.  Both cover and foam are in full compliance with BS 7177 Crib 5 fire retardancy standards as well as Medium hazard fire risk, suitable for hospitals and nursing care facilities.
